Daniel Berman, the Senior Partner, is the guiding force behind the practice. He was trained at top City law firm Slaughter and May and has been involved at the sharp end of criminal defence work since 1995. He has a track record of success in defending the most serious criminal cases. He has nerves of steel and our clients know that he can be trusted to do an expert job in any circumstances. He is a police station specialist who you will be pleased to have in your corner during the interview process. Daniel's clarity of judgement and innovative strategic input underpin the serious crime defence work we undertake. Daniel is always available to discuss client concerns and is the most accessible senior partner you will encounter. He is the head of the Serious Crime Department.

Elliot Perry joined the firm from the criminal bar and became a partner in 2003. Elliot's immediate comprehension of complex fraud matters and innovative approach is a great comfort to our clients. Further, his advocacy skills and trial experience allow the firm to offer an integrated service with the ability to advise promptly, without the need to refer to a barrister in Chambers. He is a good communicator who can explain complex legal issues so that clients understand their options fully. Elliot has an advanced grasp of new technology and guides our complex fraud preparation and the internal systems of the firm. His energy and dedication typify the firm's approach to client difficulties. Elliot is the Head of the Financial Crime Department, which defends complex fraud and manages our confiscation and asset forfeiture work.

Amjid Jabbar is a solicitor and a great talent within the team. He has a very thorough approach, which together with his drive and energy ensures that his clients are well represented. He has a broad range of experience from defending allegations of international drug trafficking to serious and organised crime within the UK. This experience is further enhanced by his extensive knowledge of the assets recovery and confiscation regimes, which allow him to provide his clients with a complete service. Rehana Khanom is our senior caseworker. Her incredibly thorough approach poses a serious challenge to prosecuting authorities. She leaves no stone unturned, and has secured many an acquittal when the odds have been stacked against the client.

Colin Davis is a senior consultant and is trusted and relied upon by clients. Colin always has a fresh perspective and his experience and understanding of criminal cases almost compensates for his eccentric sense of dress.

Raphael Cohen is a computer expert and legal defence analyst who can marshal and examine the most complex and voluminous case materials; not many solicitors’ practices have an in-house expert of this calibre.

Dorota Small is the firm’s office manager, and a qualified bookkeeper. She is friendly and highly efficient. Dorota keeps the internal environment tidy and the lawyers properly organised!
